These instructions apply to the current versions of these applications. For older versions, the option to enable JavaScript might be in a different location.
Internet Explorer on Windows:
Select Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab (Make sure the Internet globe icon is highlighted). Click on the "Custom Level..." button to bring up the security options for your browser.
In the Settings box, find the Scripting -> "Active scripting" option. Make sure "Enable" is selected. Click the OK button. Close all windows and Refresh the page requiring JavaScript.
Internet Explorer on Macintosh:
Select Edit -> Preferences -> Web Content tab -> Check the "Enable scripting" checkbox
Firefox:
Select Tools -> Options -> Content tab -> Check the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox
Safari:
Select Edit -> Preferences -> Security tab -> Check the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox
Opera:
Select Tools -> Quick Preferences -> Check the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox
Netscape:
Select Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced tab -> Check the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox
