After creating a cluster the output of lsrpnode shows that the local node is online and the remote node is offline. This behavior is the same when lsrpnode is then issued on the other node. See example below:
Issuing TSAMP's lssam command and find that it hangs on some, but not all, of the nodes in the cluster. In this case it hangs waiting for a lsrsrc-api call against IBM.Application resources.
A network outage affected the public NIC on the primary HADR server but there was no automated failover. The only change in the 'lssam' output was the NIC (on the primary server) within the db2_public_network_0 equivalency changing to Offline.
RSCT harvests all known storage devices at a default interval of 30 minutes. If a cluster requirement requires disabling of this functionality, how is this accomplished?
The TSAMP installation log (/tmp/installSAM.1.log) shows the following error: Error: Package rsct.basic cannot be installed on AIX because the installed version of other RSCT packages is higher: 3.1.4.1
Running 'samctrl -m' did not activate the new TSAMP version. Running 'samctrl -m 3.2.2.4' resulted in the error (runact-api) 2621-314 Input to the "CompleteMigration" action is not valid. Current RSCT active version number is incompatible to this NewActiveVersion: "3.2.2.4"
Does "Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms" (TSAMP) behave differently if the NIC is downed using the 'ifconfig' command compared to actually unplugging the network cable from that interface ?
Multiple security vulnerabilities exist in the IBM Java Runtime Environment component of IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms which may affect the product.
When the primary server in my 2 node cluster goes down, the network adapter on the standby server starts being reported as malfunctioning or offline as well. This often prevents a failover or causes unexpected outages on the standby server.
For a single cluster with AIX 5.3 nodes and AIX 6.1 nodes, I cannot activate the newer code level after upgrading TSAMP from 3.2.1.2 to 3.2.2.3. No errors from 'samctrl -m' but AVN remains 3.2.1.2 even though IVN is 3.2.2.3
Attempts to create a cluster result in each node seeing itself online but the other node offline and both nodes created their own sub-clusters when using IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms.
Installed TSAMP v3.2.0.0 on AIX 7.1. Afterwards, the IBM.RecoveryRM and IBM.GblResRM daemons don't appear to stay running after bringing the domain online.
Using db2haciu to create a large policy with a lot of resources (say over 100) can result initially in the creation of resources happening quickly but will slow down the more resources that are created.
Issuing lsrpnode command shows that the local node is online but the remote node is offline while the other server shows the reverse. Whichever node the command is issued on shows online, while the other node is always shown as offline.
Takeover commands are issued for multiple HADR databases. The 'lssam' command shows that not all databases have moved to the other node, however it looks like all takeover commands complete successfully.
Scan your systems with an inventory collector to create an inventory file. Then upload that file here to use inventory functions on the Support Portal or in Fix Central.
