Instruction on how to enable HDA audio on WorkStation Connection Device

Enabling HD Audio
Note: Audio is disabled by default. To use HD audio, you must enable it in both the connection device and the compression card.

  1. Turn on the connection device and the hosted system.
  2. On a system (other than the hosted system to which you are connecting the connection device) that is on the same subnet as the compression card and connection device, open a Web browser.
  3. Direct the Web browser to the IP address of the connection device. The connection device Web interface opens.
  4. In the connection device Web interface, type your password and click Log In; then, click Permissions ? Audio
  5. Select the check box to enable HD audio and click Apply ? Reset.
  6. Direct the Web browser to the IP address of the compression card. The compression card Web interface opens.
  7. In the compression card Web interface, type your password and click Log In; then, click Permissions ? Audio.
  8. Select the check box to enable HD audio and click Apply ? Reset.
  9. If the operating system is running, shut it down and restart it for the change to be applied.

To download audio driver please go to

http://www.realtek.com.tw

And Navigate to
HOME > Downloads > Computer Peripheral ICs > PC Audio Codecs > High Definition Audio Codecs > Software

And download the audio driver for Windows xp/Vista.

Note: For Windows XP you must install MS KBA 888111 to enable HDA audio and then install the Realtek Windows XP audio driver. You can download MS KBA 888111 by going to www.ibm.com and search under “KBA 888111.
