  • Added PF based Virtualization – vHBA
  • Enhanced CLI, HCM GUI and CIM support in inbox drivers.
  • Added PF based Virtualization - vNIC
  • Added iSCSI over DCB Support
  • Added Multiple Tx Priority Queues Support
  • Added SNMP Support

Version 2.3.0.3

Fixes and Enhancements:

  • Enhanced SNIA API to report port speed of 4 and 8Gbps in SNIA format.
  • Enhanced XIV array interoperability that addresses a data integrity corner case.
  • Enhanced the transmit path handling in Linux Network Driver to avoid a corner case that could lead to transmit path stall.
  • Enhanced the Linux Adapter Software installer script to update the initrd with the correct name even when there are multiple copies of the OEM specific initrd(s).

Version 2.3.0.0

Problems Fixed:

  • Addressed HCM agent exit issue when HBA port 0 is disabled in Windows device manager.

Enhancements:

  • Enhanced Linux storage driver to allow user to configure maximum transfer size.
  • Enhanced HCM to add visual indication of port disable.
  • Enabled HP DL120 server to support Boot over SAN with two Brocade HBAs installed.
  • Allowed installation of 3rd party network drivers to bind the system services in servers with Brocade 10G Network Adapters.
  • Improved network driver CPU and performance optimization.
  • Enabled automated target and LUN discovery of enterprise HDS storage once LUN masking has occurred.
  • Improved Tivoli interoperability to meet device display requirements.

Version 2.2.0.0

Enhancements:

  • Adds support for BladeCenter CNA

Version 2.1.0.2

Problems Fixed:

  • 00269115- Synchronized WMI path with IO handling to avoid queue corruptions seen during testing with a storage vendor’s DSM module.
  • 0268878 – Enhanced IO handling of completion with residual underrun to avoid data errors seen in some Linux kernels.

Enhancements:

  • Support installing SLES 11 driver KMPs on SLES11 Errata kernel.
  • Storage and Network driver support for SLES 10 SP3
  • Extended HBAAPI library support for RubahLite APIs
  • Enhanced Windows Network and Storage Driver performance

Limitations:

  • When Network Manager is enabled, network traffic may not pass through multiple CNA network interfaces. The work around is to disable Network Manager or setup Network Manager to use the appropriate NIC interface.

Dependencies:

  • Upgrade the RHEL 4.7 kernel from 2.6.9-78 to the latest patch 2.6.9-78.0.5 to avoid OS failures after an invalid operand from hcmagent process.
  • Always use KMP binary RPMs for SLES 11 and avoid using NOARCH RPMs. SLES 11 has BFA driver 1.1.0.2 as part of its distribution. If a non-KMP RPM of BFA driver is installed over this, any YaST2 based install will revert back to 1.1.0.2 version of the driver.

Version 2.1.0.0

Enhancement:

  • Added support for SAN Boot (BOS, BIOS, and EFI) for CNA.
  • Added support for Teaming on Windows for CNA.
  • Added support for FCoE Target Rate Limiting (TRL) for CNA.
  • Added support for FCoE I/O Interrupt Coalescing for CNA.

Version 2.0.0.0

  • Initial release for Network Drivers for FibreChannel over Ethernet (FCoE) Converged Network Adapter.

Version 1.1.0.4

Problems Fixed:

  • DEFECT000238453
Fixed a problem in Windows Drivers which would cause a Windows System to freeze or reboot, when attempting to take crashdump.
  • DEFECT000228373
Fixed a problem in Solaris Sparc Driver which resulted in HBA model not getting displayed with prtdiag -v command output.
  • DEFECT000238454
Fixed a problem which resulted in IO failures, if the driver configuration parameter “num_ios” is not set as power of 2. The default value for this parameter is 512.

Enhancement:

  • DEFECT00238452
Added support for IBM Vital Product Data (VPD).

Version 1.1.0.3

  • This Version was used internally to stage Driver Certifications.

Version 1.1.0.2

  • This Version was used for SLES 11 Inbox Driver Submission.
