If firmware for the QLogic 8200 Dual-Port 10 GbE SFP+ VFA or IBM System x, option 90Y4600 (QLE3262), is updated outside of a supported method (IBM Update package or IBM Bootable Media Creator (BoMC)) the Network Interface Controller (NIC) Partitioning (NPAR) functions cannot be configured and the adapter will be limited to the current configuration of two (2) physical NIC ports.
At this time, updating the firmware from the VMware host is not supported.

The 1.12.21 multiboot firmware for the QLE3262 is affected.

This behavior will be corrected in a future release of QLE3262 firmware.
