Solution

This behavior will be corrected in a future release of ASU.

The target date for this release is fourth quarter 2013.

The file is or will be available by selecting the appropriate Product Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and Operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the following URL:

Workaround

Create the IMM IPMI account with a non-empty password.

Additional information

The current ASU will use 'PASSW0RD' as password to connect to IMM through IPMI when the IPMI account password is empty, resulting in the issue described.

The future release of ASU version 13D will set the password according to the user definition, whether it is empty or not.

The TCS and DSA will follow the ASU fix.
