Upgrade planning template

To help ensure the success of your system upgrade project, an end-to-end planning template is now available for download. The template contains the following chronological list of the major stages and tasks that should be considered in your upgrade project.

• Planning
• Ordering
• Preparing
• Pre-installation
• Installation
• Post-installation

Each upgrade task has a designated resource to identify the primary owner, in a typical upgrade scenario. If a task has more than one resource listed, either party (or both parties) may perform the task, depending on the situation.

You may need to customize the template by adding or removing tasks, to suit your specific project.
