Severity: Suggested

Highlights

Key features:

  • Easy to follow user interface makes it a snap to setup the chassis, integrated storage, networking and firmware update.
  • Automatically detects chassis hardware, checks the IBM web site for the latest firmware, and then updates chassis component firmware, including the advanced management module, blade servers, SAS RAID Controller Module, SAS Connectivity Module, Storage Modules and Ethernet switches.
  • Allows you to enable Service Advisor, which can directly inform IBM of any service events (e.g., hardware failures), many times before you even know about them.
  • Simplified RAID setup of both chassis integrated storage and blade internal storage.
  • When complete, you are ready to start deploying operating systems either manually, or by using ServerGuide.

To get started simply run the application and follow the step-by-step instructions. They will help you to connect, update, and configure the chassis to get your new BladeCenter running in no time.
