At certain levels of ESM firmware, a problem exists which keeps problematic devices from being taken out of the Fibre Channel loop. Access to data on the storage array may be impacted if the above problem is encountered. A fix for this problem is currently available and as a result, IBM recommends that firmware levels for EXPs 810/710/420 be upgraded minimally to the following ESM firmware levels:
- EXP 810/420: 98B5
