Symptom
For the installation of Microsoft Windows for Storage Area Network (SAN) boot, there can be unexpected results when the host is presented with multiple paths to the storage on which the Micorsoft Windows operating system will be installed.
Affected configurations
The system is configured with at least one of the following:
- ServerGuide Release 7.2.03, any release
- ServerGuide Release 7.3, any release
- ServerGuide Release 7.4, any release
- ServerGuide Release 7.4.16, any release
- ServerGuide Release 8.41, any release
- ServerGuide Release 9.22, any release, any any

Workaround
Configure only one path to the storage that is used for the installation of Windows operating system and disconnect all other active paths.
